LAKE PEPPER

Although the fish are now into winter mode the larger fish are feeding well.  The most notable fish landed this month was a new lake record mirror of 37lb 4oz by Paul Clarke from Southend, caught on Catcher Baits Crab and Fruit boilie.  Neil Kentenius landed a brace of mirrors at 32lb and 24lb.  Venue regulars Clive and Amanda Wilkinson landed a brace of mirrors, Clive's weighing 31lb 8oz while Amanda's weighed in at 34lb 8oz, both fish fell to a Mainline Cell boilie.  Ben Hackett banked a 25lb 8oz mirror to a Cell boilie.  David Mosley banked a 30lb 12oz mirror plus a 15lb mirror to C C Moores Live System boilies.  Jason Hills landed a 30lb 4oz mirror to a pineapple pop-up.  Gerry Stringer landed three fish, mirrors of 26lb 10oz and 19lb 4oz and a common of 23lb 12oz all to Cell boilies.  Lee Randell landed a brace of mirrors of 28lb and 18lb 2oz to Live System.

Neil Kentenius banked a 26lb 8oz mirror to a Cell boilie while fishing companion Tony Coombes landed mirrors of 31lb 8oz, 19lb, plus a common of 27lb 2oz, all to Cell.  John Lovell banked a 32lb 8oz mirror on C C Moores Live System, fishing companion Anthony Barnes landed a 24lb 8oz mirror to the same bait.  Lee Degarston landed a 31lb 10oz mirror to a Cell boilie.  Jamie Piper landed a 24lb 8oz mirror, once again to a Cell boilie.  Kevin Bishop banked a 22lb mirror and a leather carp of 18lb 6oz, both fell to a Tigernut boilie.

Trevor Randell banked a 26lb 14oz mirror to a Tutti-Frutti boilie; Dave Wall landed a 20lb 2oz mirror to a Catcher Baits Crab and Fruit Boilie.  Andy Smith landed a brace of mirrors of 23lb and 18lb on an overnight trip.  Lee Randell landed a 25lb mirror and 19lb common.  Jamie Caulfield banked a 27lb mirror to a Cell boilie.  Billy McGarry landed three fish on an overnight trip, mirrors of 29lb and 27lb, plus a common of 20lb, all to C C Moores Live System.

 

LAKE CHRISTINE

Dave Wall landed a common of 27lb 12oz to his own bait.  Michael Taylor landed a brace of mirrors at 22lb 5oz and 19lb to Cell boilies.  Reg Witt landed four fish, the best a 25lb 8oz common.  Dave Bentley landed a common, also at 25lb 8oz.  Brian Mills landed an 18lb mirror and 13lb 8oz common on bread.  Dave Wall landed a 26lb 2oz common and a 22lb 4oz mirror on Catcher Baits Crab and Fruit boilies.  Clint McTaggart landed a mirror of 27lb 4oz, also on Crab and Fruit.  On his second trip this month Brian Mills once again banked two mirrors of 18lb 2oz and 15lb on bread.

 

ALDER LAKE

Venue regular Douglas Lawrence had two good trips this month.  The first trip landing fourteen carp, the best at 20lb on Matrix boilies.  The second trip (three days) Doug landed thirty-seven carp to 19lb.  Wayne Leadbeatter banked a 16lb 8oz common to Live System.

 

MATCH LAKES

The last two matches have both produced weights over 100lb.  The first was won by local expert Dan Warman with 104lb, second James Young with 84lb 8oz and third Ray Fell with 76lb 4oz.  The second match was also won by Dan Warman with 105lb 3oz, second Pete Joiner with 87lb 3oz and third Stuart Atkinson with 86lb 11oz.

 

BLACK LAKE

Still producing the odd tench with bags made up with skimmers, roach and rudd.

Pepper lake

Mark Cordingley had a real good trip banking three 30,s to 34lb 12oz and five other fish to 29lb 8oz.

Tina Smith banked a 32lb mirror on live system.

Liam and Mark Thomkingson had a good 48 hrs trip banking seven fish to 33lb 7oz including four high twentys.

Grant Lockett one of the local carp boys banked five fish to 32lb 10 oz.

Adam Cox had four fish to 24lb 12oz on premier baits camos.

 Paul Clake had a brace of mirrors to 33lb 8oz.

Simon Ward three fish to 30lb 8oz.ben marsh banked a 23lb mirror on mainline cell.

Brad Corroyer had three fish to 32lb 4oz.

Balfour Beaty had a match and ended up with 8 fish to 36lb 10oz including a 32lb 5oz and a 29lb mirror.

 Lee Dunn also banked a 35lb 8oz mirror.

Christine

Lewis Hughes banked two fish 17lb 8oz mirror and a 16lb common.  Jim Smith had five fish to 27lb all on c c moores live system.

Dave Smith also on the live system banked 22lb mirror. Jim Hutton banked four fish to 17lb on cell.

Justin Woodward had six fish to 24lb on camos.


Paul Ravenhill had a twelve fish catch to 28lb.

these lakes are starting to fish a bit harder now the weather is coiling down maggot is coming in to its own the match results are looking good but I advise you to scale down a bit to keep getting bites.

 
Tonic For Bonnick!
 
 
I fished a 24hr ticket on pepper lake from the evening of thursday the 24th with a friend Chris Bonnick (it was his first time carp fishing)..  Chris hooked his first carp within 30minutes of setting him up but unfortunately it found the safety of the reeds and was lost. less than an hour after loosing his first fish he was in again this time he managed to land a decent mirror of 20lb 12oz.  During the night I lost a carp again to the reeds, next day we didnt get a bite until just before 12 when Chris's rod screamed into life, after helping chris apply enough pressure to get the fish out of the base of the reeds and into open water a 30minute fight followed by now he had a small crowd of anglers to witness him land a 37lb mirror.  As you can imagine being his first ever fishing trip he was grining from ear to ear.  Finally I managed to land myself a 17.5lb common on my last cast.  Here is Chris with his 37lber All fish were landed on Cell boilies.

COTTINGTON LAKES - DEAL, KENT

 

LAKE PEPPER

The new 4-acre extension to Pepper is now open and fishing well, this gives 16 pegs now available.

John Smith banked a 34lb 8oz mirror to Premier's Matrix.  Brothers Dave and Kevin Mosley shared a 14 fish haul over three days.  Dave banked 6 fish, the best a 31lb 4oz mirror, while Kevin banked 8 fish (7 over 22lb), the best a 29lb 2oz mirror, all to CC Moores Live System.  Paul Russell on an overnight trip banked 3 fish to 28lb 5oz, all mirrors to CC Moores Live System.  Barry Vokes landed a brace of mirrors; the best 23lb 12oz to CC Moores Live System, while fishing companion David Finley banked a 20lb common on Teaza boilies.  Dean Underdown banked 4 fish to 25lb 12oz, while Andy Underdown banked 9 fish; a 33lb 8oz mirror the best, plus 4 four fish over 20lb, all on Mainline Cell.  Terry Mannel banked a 22lb mirror; Dave Moore landed a 22lb 8oz mirror.  Nigel Heisley banked 5 fish to 24lb (a common) plus 2 other 20's.  Will Funnel landed 2 fish, the best a 20lb common, all to Cell boilies.  Ryan Owers banked 2 fish, the best a 26lb mirror, while Vic Birley landed 2 fish all caught on Ocean Fresh boilies.  Paul Clark landed 5 fish with the best being mirrors of 33lb 12oz and 33lb 4oz all on Catcher Baits Crab & Fruit boilies.  Richard Eyles landed 2 fish, the best a 28lb 4oz common, both to Cell boilies.  Jamie Lawrence landed 8 fish, 6 fish over 20lb, the heaviest a 27lb 13oz mirror, all caught on CC Moores Live System.  Steven Impett landed 3 fish, the best a 31lb 8oz (P.B.) mirror all on Cell.  Local expert Dave Wall banked 2 commons of 29lb 10oz and 25lb 4oz, plus a 19lb mirror all on his own bait.  Vince Gold landed 8 fish, the best a 32lb mirror, plus 3 fish over 20lb.  All were caught on Mainline Cell.

 

LAKE CHRISTINE

Dominic Woodward landed fish of 25lb 6oz and 18lb 8oz on Premier's Camos boilies, while Bob Woodward landed 2 fish to 15lb 1oz on the same bait.  Nigel Heisley banked a brace of 28lb and 25lb 8oz on Cell boilies.  Bait tester Bob Mills landed 18 fish on a 3-day trip with 9 fish over 20 lb, the best a 26lb mirror, all caught on new Mainline Grange.  Ben Marsh landed 6 fish to 23lb 8oz, while Ben Hackett landed a 23lb 12oz mirror.  The next week Ben Marsh landed 2 fish to 25lb 10oz, while Ben Hackett banked 6 fish to 23lb 2oz all on Cell boilies.  Dave Feaver landed 5 fish, the best a 30lb mirror all on CC Moores Live System.  Kelvin Thomas banked a 27lb 8oz mirror while Mick Bryant landed a 28lb mirror.  John Malloy landed 11 fish to 25lb 15oz, while fishing companion Matt Roche also landed 11 fish to 27lb 12oz.  All caught on Mainline Cell.

 

ALDER LAKE

Several good bags of carp this month.  Doug Lawrence on a 3-day trip landed 33 carp to 18lb 8oz on Premier Matrix boilies.

 

MATCH LAKES and WINDSOR LAKE

All lakes are fishing well.  Latest competition weights have required 100lb plus bags to frame.

 

BLACK LAKE and HERON LAKE

Good bags of skimmers, tench, and carp falling to pleasure anglers.  All to pellet or corn baits.
