hello,
would it possible for you to add this pic to your gallery. the first 40lb carp to come out of pepper. after a good 20 min fight it graced the net, taken on a single live system boillie tipped with fake corn. i could not believe my eyes when it surfaced, i really struggled carrying it in the net to my unhooking mat. i weighed it on my scales and it was showing just over 40lb. So i put the carp back in the net and then back in the water secured to a post in my swim, quickly wound my other line in and called a few of the lads over from cristine lake. in total we used three different sets of scales and agreed that it was a 40 lb carp. one of the lads was sure it was 2oz over 40 but i thought it was bang on the 40 mark. the photos really do not do the carp any justice what so ever probably because i am not holding the fish correctly. phil the baliff went over and spoke to the lads on cristine the next morning. they all agreed it was a 40, we also took a photo of us wieghing it. just wish the photos were better but still i am a very happy man, still buzzing now. it was caught at 19:20 on the 3rd of may, (very windy). I know the web site has just been updated but i was really hoping i could have the photo on the home page of your website as well, you would be making me very happy and very proud. I have burnt a photo onto disc and will be dropping it off to the boys at the tackle shop. please get in touch if you need to. many thanks,
 Baz from Dover.

Catch report for the Ballantyne Brothers Lake Pepper 30th & 3st March 2010

Please find attached photos also left with your bailiffs on site on our departure.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for a most productive if yet very hard session which resulted in both myself Tom Ballantyne & younger brother Stuart Ballantyne both beating our PB's during a 48 hour session on Lake Pepper from 1300 on the 30th March to 1300 1st April. Both fish along with 4 Mallards all fell to Live System Boiles. My younger brother Landed a new PB 25lb 13oz Mirror at 1520 on the 31st & I was very lucky in smashing my PB with a lovely 36lb 1 oz Mirror a hour and a half later at 1645 again on Live system. It was hard work & a team effort to trap these two beauties in what proved to be a hard few days on lake Pepper when many others were leaving empty handed. We both look forward to returning again to yet again improve our PB's & hopefully put a few more of your immaculate beauties on the bank.

Kind regards,
Tom Ballantyne.

Tonic For Bonnick!

I fished a 24hr ticket on pepper lake from the evening of thursday the 24th with a friend Chris Bonnick (it was his first time carp fishing)..  Chris hooked his first carp within 30minutes of setting him up but unfortunately it found the safety of the reeds and was lost. less than an hour after loosing his first fish he was in again this time he managed to land a decent mirror of 20lb 12oz.  During the night I lost a carp again to the reeds, next day we didnt get a bite until just before 12 when Chris's rod screamed into life, after helping chris apply enough pressure to get the fish out of the base of the reeds and into open water a 30minute fight followed by now he had a small crowd of anglers to witness him land a 37lb mirror.  As you can imagine being his first ever fishing trip he was grining from ear to ear.  Finally I managed to land myself a 17.5lb common on my last cast.  Here is Chris with his 37lber All fish were landed on Cell boilies.
