Here is a short e-mail sent to me on a visit to cottingtons alder lake in august 2008, you will find the photos of Michaels fish in 2008 gallery.

Hi,

 

Fished alder Monday through to tuesday with my mate, landing 11 carp to 14lb. Fished near the top end to the back reeds. All fish were caught on Yahoo Baits 'Nutty Corn' over a bed of pellet on the same rod. Overcast throught monday where i caught up until 10.30pm Monday night, suprisingly quiet all through the night until the break of dawn where I lost three in the space of an hour, typical! But luckily had a couple out in the day during on and off showers.It was my mate, Mike Nodens first time fishing and he managed to land four carp, one being an 11lb Mirror, not bad to have a double on your first time fishing. I Have attached three photos, one of my 14lb Mirror and one of my 11lb common and one of my mates 11lb Mirror which was hte only fished caught on a different bait, N-GAGE- yahoo baits.
